Dear all,

I hope you've had a good term and are now ready for the Easter holidays. Invoices for the summer term should be mailed out in the next few days. In the meantime, if you haven't received a parent feedback form please let me know and I will make sure to email and electronic version to you. As you know your thoughts, experience and input are very valuable to us so that we can ensure the programme continues to develop as it grows bigger!

Many thanks and see you all soon,

Natasha

The KALEIDOSCOPE Project, Round 4

These are from Preetha!

1) What feelings do you have when you listen? Can you see/hear any colors in the music?

2) Does the music tell a story?

3) How many different instruments are there? Do the instruments become different characters in your story? If so, what are they? Which one is your favorite?

Write or paint/draw out your story to share with us!

The KALEDIOSCOPE Project, Round 3

Dear all,

Here is our third instalment! If you have any responses to email or bring in, please do so before the end of term. It would be great to post some up here so we can share them with everyone in the programme :)

Here it is, with Heather's questions below:

This solo has lots of different sections, as you listen, what kinds of images can you see? Does the music tell a story? What kind of story? What kinds of feelings do you have?

Draw or make something that tells the story of this piece of music, and bring it in to group class.

The cellist uses lots of different kinds of sounds on his cello--can you find some different sounds on your instrument, pick your favorite and bring it to group class to show the others?
